NRA Rifle Instructor Certification Course – $230
This two day class develops and certifies NRA Rifle Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Class.
Part 1 – Basic Instructor Training will be included in this course and if you haven’t completed BIT within the past 24 months you will need to take it again.

You must have taken and passed the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Class prior to taking this course. Instructor Candidates will be split into groups and assigned portions of lesson plans from the basic course to role play teach to other candidates and the Training Counselor. These exercises are designed to verify that the instructor candidates have a thorough knowledge of the NRA teaching methods, the Guide to the Basics of Rifle Shooting book, and the Lesson Plan for the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting class.
Instructor Candidates qualification shooting requirement is to be able to group eight out of ten shots fired from 25 yards at a 4.5” target from bench rest, prone, and standing unsupported positions. Candidates are allowed three attempts in a 24-hour period to qualify. Calibers between .22LR and .308 are permitted and students will need 100 rounds of factory loaded ammunition (no steel core ammunition is permitted). Candidates must demonstrate ability to safely manage the shooting exercises from the Basic Rifle Class.
You must register at least 14 days in advance of class. If less than four people pre-register the class will be cancelled and deposits refunded.
We may consider minors between 18 and 20 for this training on a case basis.
Payment with your registration is required to reserve a slot for a class. If you cancel attending more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time of a class you’ve registered for there will be a $50 cancellation fee deducted from your refund to cover our advance administrative costs. Cancellations within 48 hours of a class starting time are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. If you do not cancel or show up for class you forfeit your pre-payment.
