NRA Shotgun Instructor Course – $225
This 12 hour class develops and certifies NRA Shotgun Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Class.
This twelve hour class develops and certifies NRA Shotgun Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Class.
Basic Instructor Training is not Included in this Class and if you haven’t completed it within the past 24 months you must take it again and must be scheduled and completed through a NRA Training Counselor prior to the scheduled Shotgun Instructor Course.

You must have taken and passed the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Class prior to taking this course. Instructor Candidates will be split into groups and assigned portions of lesson plans from the basic course to role play teach to other candidates and the Training Counselor. These exercises are designed to verify that the instructor candidates have a thorough knowledge of the NRA teaching methods, the Guide to the Basics of Shotgun Shooting book, and the Lesson Plan for the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Class.
Instructor Candidates qualification shooting requirement is to break 13 out of 25 trapped clays in shooting qualification plus demonstrate safe gun handling and clearing malfunctions safely. Candidates must also demonstrate ability to safely oversee the shooting exercises from the Basic Shotgun Class.

You must register at least 14 days in advance of class to allow time to order and receive required NRA training materials. If less than four people pre-register the class will be cancelled and deposits refunded. Last minute registrations taken if four people have pre-registered and instructor has any extra NRA training packets on hand.
We only consider minors under 18 for training if a parent or guardian takes the training with them. We consider students between 18 and 20 on a case basis.
Payment with your registration is required to reserve a slot for a class. If you cancel attending more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time of a class you’ve registered for there will be a $50 cancellation fee deducted from your refund to cover our advance administrative costs. Cancellations within 48 hours of a class starting time are subject to a $75 cancellation fee. If you do not cancel or show up for class your pre-payment is forfeited.
