Defensive Rifle Skills
This four-hour class will take students through the basics of rifle safety, defensive mindset, necessary skills, and impart the techniques necessary to deploy the tactical rifle in a defensive encounter emergency.
This four-hour class is not for inexperienced shooters, rather for students who have mastered the basics of operating an AR style carbine.
The training includes the essentials of rifle safety and management, developing a defensive mindset, and learning the necessary skills and techniques necessary to deploy the tactical rifle in a self-defense encounter.
Build a tactical foundation that is rock solid, learning movement, layered defense, addressing multiple threats, defensive shooting positions, high speed presentation, single and multiple target acquisition, transitioning from rifle to pistol, use of cover and concealment considerations, and ability to function under high stress.

You need a modern tactical rifle with iron sights &/or an unmagnified dot sight with a single point sling or two-point sling. You will also need a defensive pistol, belt mounted holster, belt mounted two-magazine holster, and three pistol magazines for transitional training. You need three rifle magazines that hold twenty or more cartridges and a belt mounted rifle magazine pouch. Bring 200 rounds of rifle ammunition (no steel tipped or steel core) and 50 rounds of pistol ammunition. Electronic ear protection and eye protection are required (eye protection can be prescription glasses if they offer adequate eye protection from ejected hot brass).
You must register at least five days in advance of class. If less than two people pre-register the class will be cancelled, and deposits refunded. Last minute registrations taken if two people have pre-registered at least five days prior to the class date.
You must be 18 or older to take this class and we consider students between 18 and 20 on a case basis.
Payment with your registration is required to reserve a slot for a class. If you cancel attending more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time of a class you’ve registered for, there will be a $50 cancellation fee deducted from your refund to cover our advance administrative costs. Cancellations within 48 hours of a class starting time are subject to a $75 cancellation fee. If you do not cancel or show up for class your pre-payment is forfeited.
