Tom Dowdy – Designated NRA Instructor at Thunder Gun Range

Effective June 1, 2014, Tom has taken on the responsibilities of teaching all the NRA Basic Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun Courses taught at Thunder Gun Range. He has been a member of the Thunder Shooter’s Club for two years and has been competing in 3 Gun matches and Defensive Pistol Matches at that range.  He will be combining his students with students generated by the gun range but class sizes will be limited to twelve students or less in most classes.  The class schedule on this web site is the same as the NRA scheduled classes on Thunder Gun Range web site.  You can continue signing up on this web site for classes or give Tom a call at 281-645-6290.  Tom will also be working with other instructors to conduct monthly 3 Gun Matches starting in July. You can get regular news by going to the Handgun Skills Facebook page.  Tom will be at an Open House at Thunder Gun Range from 12PM to 3PM on July 5th, along with the three other designated instructors for the range.  Come out and meet Thunder Gun Range instructors and get a tour of the private training ranges.
